MOTO G6, MOTO G6 PLAY TO  LAUNCH IN INDIA SOON, COMPANY CONFIRMS

Motorola on Monday confirmed that the latest avatars of one of the most successful phones in the company's history, Moto G6 and G6 Play will be launched on June 4. As of now, the pricing and launch offers for both the devices haven't been revealed.

The Moto G6 will be Amazon exclusive, while Moto G6 Play will be coming to Flipkart. You can also buy both the phones via MotoHub, Motorola's retail outlet, as well.

Last month, Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto G6 and G6 Play in Brazil for $249 (approximately Rs.16,500) and $199 (approximately Rs.13,000) respectively.

Unlike last year's Moto G5, the Moto G6 looks more premium sporting a glass back. The phone has a 5.7-inch full HD+ Max Vision display at 2160 x 1080 resolution with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC paired 4GB or 6GB RAM depending on the Moto G6 variant. While Moto G6 Play comes with a Snapdragon 430 SoC and 2GB or 3GB, depending on the variant.

"Like its competitors, Moto G6 has a dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor."On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with flash. The phone has a 3000mAh battery, which supports TurboPower charging along with USB Type C port for charging and data transfer.

In the last few years, Motorola's G series has gained a lot of praise for being one of the best affordable smartphones. However, coming to 2018, the Indian smartphone landscape is no longer the same, especially in the Rs.10,000- 20,000 price range with Xiaomi established as the top player.

With Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 Pro selling like hot cakes and Mi A2 on the horizon, things won't be easy for Moto G6, especially with Huawei’s Honor hot on their heels.
